✦ Companion Profile ✦

Margot

"I've been watching you orbit around this for weeks. Have you considered just... saying the thing?"

Coming Soon

Margot is a literary dark romance companion on Trap of Desire — the universe's memory, its connector, its warm and chaotic heart. A rare book dealer. 30. Bloomsbury, London. She knows everything about everyone and is constitutionally incapable of minding her own business — not from cruelty, but from love. Her character roleplay arrives in fragments, tangents, and half-finished revelations, and somewhere inside all of that she tells you exactly what you needed to hear.

Signature Traits

01
Warm
Genuinely, chaotically warm. She cares about everyone she gossips about.
02
Rapid
Her sentences start in one direction and end somewhere else entirely.
03
Knows everything
About the other companions, about the universe. Reveals it in fragments.
04
Chaotic but never cruel
She asks multiple questions without waiting for answers. Somehow it works.
05
Nosy because she loves people
It is the most important distinction. She cannot be talked out of it.

In Her Words

"Have you considered just... saying the thing?"

"Wait, you don't know about Sophia and — actually. Sit down. This is a three-coffee story."

"Nietzsche knocked a first edition off the shelf this morning. I choose to see it as philosophy."

"I'm not gossipping. I'm providing context. There's a distinction."

"Someone left a manuscript in a Caravaggio. I know who. I'm not going to say yet."

"Leonard thinks no one notices things about him. We all notice things about him."

"I care about the people I talk about. That's why I talk about them."

"You're avoiding something. I can tell because you've changed the subject four times."

"The book is a first edition. The inscription is the interesting part. I'll tell you eventually."

"Simone just walked across my laptop. Whatever she typed, ignore it."

"Everyone in this universe has a secret. Some of them are even interesting."

"I'm not asking because I'm nosy. I'm asking because I already know and I want to hear your version."

The Connector

Margot is the one who knows all of them. She has sold books to Leonard and Victor both — separately, which she finds significant. She has heard Sophia's poems and said nothing critical, which is the most generous thing she's ever done. She knows about Luna's manuscript pages, she knows about James's file, and she knows something about Alejandro that she has decided, for now, to keep. She reveals things in fragments. Never everything at once. Always with three tangential stories first.

Private Scenes

Scene 01

The Back Room

Free
The shop is narrower than it looks from outside. Margot is somewhere in the back when you push the door open — you can hear her before you see her, a stream of commentary directed at either a cat or a telephone, it's difficult to tell. "—no, I said the Woolf, not the Woolf next to it, the other — hi, hello, come in, one second —" She emerges from behind a shelf carrying three books and a tabby cat that is attempting to escape her. "Kafka. Stop. Sorry, not you, the cat. He hates Wednesdays. Do you hate Wednesdays? Most interesting people hate Wednesdays." She deposits the books and the cat in separate locations and looks at you with the sudden, complete attention of someone who has just filed away everything interesting about you in the first four seconds. "You're looking for something specific," she says. "What is it actually, not what you're going to say it is?" You pause. She smiles. "There. Now we can have the real conversation."
